Brooksville Formation Clinic (Florida) - CANCELLED

The Brooksville Clinic has been cancelled, following the decision to postpone Sun 'n Fun.

Please join us for the first NATA Formation clinic to be held at the Brooksville-Tampa Bay Regional Airport (KBKV) March 27-31, 2020.

Arrival day is Thursday the 26th, and the clinic will begin with a mandatory safety briefing at 0800 on Friday (EAA Hangar). A mass formation to Sun 'n Fun may be organized on Tuesday the 31st.

Please review all of the registration steps before proceeding:
  • REGISTER ONLINE. Begin by clicking on the Register Now button, supply the requested information, and pay the registration fee. Fees increase on March 12th and late registrants will receive their name patch after the clinic. (You must be logged in as a Formation member to see the button.)

    • TRAINING? To be added to the list of trainees at the clinic (Wingman or Lead qualification), check the "I want formation training" box during registration. Please do not check the box if you are participating for proficiency flying or as an IP/CP. If enough first-timers register, a training ground school may be arranged on arrival day (late afternoon).

  • INSURANCE. E-mail to Chuck Marshall at the contact info below a Certificate of Insurance that meets NATA's Clinic Insurance Requirements.

  • HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT. You must accept the HH terms during registration, then download the BKV HH20 Agreement, print it, sign and witness, and bring hardcopy to the clinic. Each person registered, including guests, must sign an agreement.

  • ALLOW TEXT MESSAGES. Clinic organizers may use text messages to relay information to participants during the clinic (e.g., weather-related updates). Please allow NATA to send you text messages by visiting the Contact Information tab in your profile, and checking the box under your mobile number in Other Contacts, towards the bottom of the screen. Visit your Contact Information tab here.
Other Information:
  • MEALS. The hotel includes a basic hot breakfast (beginning 6:30am), and NATA provides snacks, drinks and catered lunch each day (EAA hangar). Also, there is good BBQ and Cuban food within a mile or two. A steak cookout at the EAA Hangar is included on Sunday night. Participants are on their own for other dinners.

  • HOTEL. Holiday Inn Express, 3528 Commercial Way, US 19, Spring Hill (13 miles from airport). (352) 683-5100. A block of rooms is available under North American Trainer until March 5th for $109/night. After it expires, standard room pricing/availability will apply.

  • RENTAL CARS. Available through Enterprise (352 )796-1090 and Hertz (352) 799-2320, and will be dropped off at the FBO.  Please call the local number to reserve a car and let the FBO know you have a reservation and they will ensure delivery. NOTE: a lot of the rental cars are sent to Lakeland as we get closer to Sun 'n Fun so please book your cars ASAP.

  • FUEL & OIL. American Aviation. Contact FBO to set up fuel account. Jennifer, Office Manager, at (352) 796-5173 or jtorraco@americanaviation.us. The FBO does NOT stock radial engine oil, so anyone wanting oil should call and pre-order what they need. It takes 2-3 weeks to arrive, so call in February.

  • HANGAR SPACE. Very limited. The FBO will start a waitlist when pilots arrive (please do not call ahead). You should NOT expect to get in hangers but there will be plenty of grass parking so bring your own tie-downs. Hard surface tie downs will be provided to the T-28’s.

Participants must be NATA Formation members, or their guests. If pilots share an aircraft, each must register separately.

Passengers accompanying a pilot who intend to fly in back seats or be present on the ramp during the clinic are clinic participants, must be listed as a guest on their pilot's registration, and must sign the Hold Harmless agreement.

Passengers accompanying a pilot who do not participate in the clinic (e.g., spouses) need not be registered as a guest, but must sign the Hold Harmless agreement.
Cancellation Policy:
We do not issue refunds if you cancel your registration. Instead, your registration fees will be credited to your account, and applied to future NATA payments (e.g., membership dues or event fees).

If you cancel after March 12th, 2020, a $50 cancelation fee (plus postage and any fees for extra T-shirts/patches) will be applied, and your items will be mailed to you.
